Obama fails to deliver on promise of hope, change

The Island Now

Listen up recent college graduates.  I have a great fraternity prank to play on your college friends who have not graduated yet?  Advise them to vote for President Obama so they can also experience the glorious benefits of his HOPE and CHANGE philosophy.

Based on his economic track record in the last three-and-a-half years, they will also  be 50 percent unemployed or underemployed or worse.  Gotta luv the community organizer in the White House.

Prove to them that living in their parents’ basement, as you are, is just fine.  Your old bedroom, of course, has been turned into a den and is simply just a temporary obstacle in your attempt to become independent.

Also, paying off college loans will have to be put on hold.  Don’t sulk.  Simply suck it up.

In 10 to 20 years, you will pay off your $25,000 to $50,000 loan while flipping hamburgers for years to come. And, I understand that loans for lawyers and doctors are in the $200,000 range.  Whew!  [Per the Wall Street Journal on Aug. 9,  “College Debt Hits Well Off:  Upper-middle Income Households See Biggest Jumps in Student Loan Burden. Households with annual incomes of $94,535 to $205,335].  Isn’t it great that those one-percent wannabes are also getting hosed?  What we need is more income distribution not less.

But one good thing,  you are covered for medical insurance on your parents’ policy until you are 26 years old.  This assumes your parents still have jobs.
