An off-duty Old Westbury police officer helped revive a man who was electrocuted during a block party in East Atlantic Beach on Saturday, Nassau County police said.

The unidentified officer, a nurse and neighbors performed CPR on the 27-year-old victim, who police said fell off a second-story porch and went into cardiac arrest after he was electrocuted while removing wires from an American flag display.

Police said the victim was sent to a local hospital and was admitted in serious but stable condition.
