Plandome Heights OKs leaf clean-up

The Village of Plandome Heights voted to clean up leaves from several of its “island” properties around the village during its regularly scheduled board meeting on Monday.

The clean-up, which is expected to cost the village $400 or less, will consist of approximately 11 different “islands,” according to Village Clerk Arlene Drucker.

Drucker said that while there is no set date for the clean-up the village plans to move forward as soon as the weather and their regular village lawn and leaf vendor’s schedule allows.

The village plans to clean up leaves from an abandoned property at Plandome Court but has said no extra money will be required to clean the property, Drucker said.
