Village of Plandome trustees on Tuesday recognized the accomplishments of two of its residents.

“This is the first time we have ever done this,” said Village of Plandome Mayor M. Lloyd Williams.

The village recognized Lou Craco, who received the New York State Bar Association’s Gold Medal award, as well as Manhasset High School senior Amanda Temares, who was recognized for her installation as the president of the Nassau County Junior Firefighters.

“These actions are a reflection of the Village of Plandome,” said Williams.

In her departmental report, Village Treasurer Elizabeth Kaye said that the village has exceeded its 2013-14 budget, having encountered unforeseen expenditures in street maintenance and snow-related line items.

Board Trustee Katie Saville was appointed to the Public Access Television board, which covers Great Neck and various parts of the north shore of Nassau County.

The board of trustees will hold its next meeting on April 8.
