The head of Portledge School in Locust Valley, has appointed Leslie Moseley Rioux as the new director of advancement.

Rioux comes to Portledge from The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention in Harlem, which works in partnership with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer center to treat disadvantaged residents of New York City.

While there Rioux overhauled the development office, and in the last two quarters of 2012 increased funding by 87 percent.
