Rear View Mirror to play in GN Plaza

The Island Now

Rear View Mirror will be performing in the Village of Great Neck Plaza on Tuesday, July 9 for the first time since appearing in the 2011 Summer Concert Series. Rear View Mirror will be returning to the gazebo at Firefighters’ Park to perform a set-list of classic Motown, rock and pop hits from the 50s through the 80s, and some swingin’ jazz standards from the ‘40s and ‘50s. Village of Great Neck Plaza Mayor Celender said, “Rear View Mirror is sure to be a crowd pleaser, playing the hits of the golden era of music. Nina Gordon, Rear View Mirror’s lead singer, plays with some of the best musicians on Long Island and we are ecstatic to have them performing in our concert series once again.”

Rear View Mirror has been performing together since 2010 all across Long Island. The band consists of Nina Gordon on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Mike Bellusci on drums, Rev. Al Speed on keyboard and guitar, Rick Palley on bass, and Capt. Brett on lead guitar. Rear View Mirror covers great tunes from artists like Carole King, Sam Cooke, Dusty Springfield, The Beatles, Chuck Berry and many, more. The music starts at 8 p.m.

In the case of inclement weather, the concert performance will be moved to the Great Neck Senior Center (80 Grace Avenue). Check with village staff at the Village Hall on the day of the concert, or call (516) 482-4500 after 5 p.m. We will have a recorded message if the day’s scheduled concert has been moved.
