Construction of two luxury jewelry stores within the Americana Manhasset’s London Jewelers collections has been completed by a New York City-based firm that specializes in high-end retail and corporate spaces.

In addition to finishing work to jewelers Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier, IBEX Construction has also provided its construction management services to the Americana’s TWO by London and Chanel Fine Jewelry stores and is currently redesigning the mall’s David Yurman designer jeweler location, according to a company news release.

“Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier are jewelers of the highest caliber – their collections are coveted by royal families around the world, celebrities and other high-profile individuals, so their stores are built to reflect the quality and reputation of these brands,” said IBEX Construction President Andy Frankl in the release. “IBEX is known for its attention to detail and dedication to fine workmanship, which has made us the construction company of choice for exclusive, high-end retail and renovation projects. We are pleased to be providing construction management services for multiple stores at the Americana Manhasset and setting the benchmark even higher for luxury retail craftsmanship.”

Van Cleef & Arpels’ façade was built using limestone imported from Italy and its interior walls are covered with venetian plaster and imported wall coverings, according to the release. The store’s display cases were handcrafted, its kiosks were made with Verde marble and starfire glass and a high-level security system was also installed.

For Cartier, IBEX officials said it created a “warm, inviting space” with exotic woods covering the store’s walls and blended wood and black granite floors. The store also features built-in display cases with remote lighting features, general cove lighting and a grand chandelier at its entrance, according to the release.

IBEX also created a 4,500-square-foot space for the Americana’s TWO by London store, which company officials said will provide for a unique new way to shop for engagement rings and wedding jewelry.

“IBEX Construction was instrumental helping TWO by London kick off our exclusive new concept,” TWO by London Vice President Scott Udell said. “TWO by London at the Americana Mall is sleek and modern yet approachable for any client looking for that special ring for that special occasion.”

The store, designed by Callison Architects of New York City, features plank ash wood flooring with specialized stain; environmentally friendly, woven wall wrapping from Carnegie Xorel covering millwork wall panels; and grain marble countertops, according to the release. The store also has LED-accent and metal halide-recessed accent lighting and cove ceiling lights, which IBEX officials said will softly illuminate the space, in addition to an 11-foot-tall bulletproof glass storefront and entrance, fire shutter and roll-down gates for security.

In working on Chanel Fine Jewelry, IBEX used designs created by Barteluce Architects & Associates and Chanel architect Peter Marino for a boutique fronted by custom glass, metal façade, fabric wall panels with integral casework and finished with beaded metal mesh window treatments and broadloom carpeting, according to the release.

For David Yurman, IBEX will work off designs by the New York City-based Jason Goldstein LLP. The redesigned store is expected to open this year, according to the release.
