Ricky Pen to play Firefighters’ Park

International artist Ricky Pen will be performing her “Mediterranean Summer Night” concert on Tuesday, July 30 in Great Neck Plaza. Pen can sing in 16 different languages, and nearly as many genres, as she performs Broadway tunes, Pop, Rock, Israeli/Hassidic, Cantorial, International, and many more genres from around the world. 

Pen has a vocal range of three and a half octaves and also plays a handful of instruments, such as piano, guitar, banjo, bouzouki, harmonica, and drums, just to name a few. A natural born entertainer singing since the age of four, Pen has performed from Canada to Venezuela, Las Vegas to the Catskills, impressing audiences wherever she goes. Pen has even had the honor of performing at the White House in 1994, receiving a certificate of appreciation from then President Clinton. 

The concert is at 8 p.m. at Firefighters’ Park. In the case of inclement weather, the concert performance will be moved to the Great Neck Senior Center (80 Grace Avenue). Check with village staff at the Village Hall on the day of the concert, or call (516) 482 – 4500 for a recorded message. There will also be an announcement on the Village website, www.greatneckplaza.net, in the case of inclement weather. 

The supporters for this year’s concerts are The Andrew Hotel, Astoria Federal Savings Bank, Great Neck Arts Center, Jildor Shoes, Tokyo Naru Sushi and of course the Great Neck Park District and the Great Neck Senior Center.
