Erin Rivera became the fourth player in Herricks Girls Basketball history to join the 1,000 point club on January 30, leading Herricks to a 50-29 victory over Westbury on Senior Night.
Rivera was a five-year starter with the team and made the playoffs in each of those seasons. Her leadership and hard work earned her All-County three times and Conference Player of the Year in her junior year.
This past season Rivera finished fifth in the county in scoring, averaging 21.8 points per game, and averaged more than seven rebounds per contest. She finished her career with 1,151 points.
