A 36-year-old man was robbed of his cell phone at gunpoint early Sunday morning in Manhasset while walking along Plandome Road, police said.
Police said the victim was walking near Webster Avenue at 2:15 a.m. when he was approached by two men.
One of the subjects, who was described as having shoulder-length dreadlocks, displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property, police said.
Both subjects were described as being black between the ages of 25 and 30.
The victim took his cell phone out of his pocket and threw it into the street, and fled as the subjects ran after the phone, police said.
No injuries were reported.
