Romney flip-flops show lack of character

The Island Now

With election day fast approaching, many letters are showing much support for Romney. Have you watched his campaign and made a judgment on the contenof his character?

He has been caught changing his mind about everything, flip-flopping over and over. His only creed is “I have been working to be president for more than five years, and I will say or do anything to get there.” It boils down to that. Why does anyone need more proof of his ambitions and his motivations? Who can define his core?

Many writers reveal how much they have been persuaded to vote for him. Too many seem to believe his words, and his totally unsupportable plans. Impartial analysis of his fiscal plans and their promise to reduce the deficit shows that they just won’t work.

Have you noticed that his running mate, Ryan, has continually announced what he plans to do to Medicare. The truth is, would you want to reach retirement age, be given about $6000 to go out and shop for health insurance, comparing many plans that are almost impossible to decipher and hope to get any kind of real coverage. Then they will have to spend much more than the voucher, still relying on profit making insurance companies to give them an affordable plan? That is just an example of their ideas.

Add to that all of Romney’s opinions and promises, and his support of candidates who have inhumane ideas on healthcare for women. Consider also what he would reduce in the budget, his lack of knowledge of our military needs, his out-of-touch knowledge of foreign affairs and his hasty responses in very delicate emergencies. We often judge a person by the company he keeps. Check the names and reputations of his advisors. These connivers make my skin crawl.

Hypocrisy is the core of his being. Says whatever he thinks people want to hear, even if he contradicts it very soon and many times. Use ultra-conservative blogs as the basis for your announcements. Don’t even bother to check to see if it is the truth.
