Rallye Motors has received approval from the Roslyn Board of Trustees to renovate its Acura dealership on 1750 Northern Boulevard.

Andrea Tsoukalas, a lawyer representing the dealership at the June 21 meeting, said the  plans included  renovation of the customer waiting room in the service area and the relocation of offices to the second floor to concentrate management onto one level.

The trustees moved to make a decision at the July 19 meeting after they referred the plans to the country for approval, and the proposal received unanimous assent from the Roslyn board members.

Rallye  sells cars from various makers, including Acura, BMW, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz. The company is the number one dealer in automotive sales in Long Island, according to its website, and was named Dealer of Distinction 10 times by Honda for superior customer experience.

Since its creation, Rallye has been based in various locations on the North Shore, including Sea Cliff and Glen Cove.

In 1987, it started its operation in Roslyn, where it currently has its dealership for Acura and Mercedes-Benz.

In 2013, Rallye’s Mercedes-Benz dealership was approved by Roslyn trustees for the installation of a 2,400-square-foot automated car wash, which required rezoning a section of the property that was listed for residential use.

Tsoukalas said the automated service would be a more efficient method than the hand washing staff previously did, and would cut down water usage.
