A Brooklyn man who drowned in a rip current in the Hamptons on Saturday has been identified as Jordan Boris, a 2009 Roslyn High School graduate.

Boris, 23, was reportedly staying at his family’s second home in Westhampton and was identified by his sister, Ilisa Boris, who later published his funeral information to Facebook.

He was pulled from the water at Rogers Beach around 2 p.m. Saturday, and reportedly went into cardiac arrest before lifeguards began performing CPR.

Police then used an automatic external defibrillator in an attempt to revive him, but to no avail.

Boris was rushed to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, where he was pronounced dead.

Ilisa Boris could not be reached for comment, but she wrote in a comment to the Southampton Press that her brother was at the beach that day with their parents.

“It’s a huge shock for us, Jordan was a very strong swimmer, he was also a certified rescue diver,” she wrote. “He was an amazing person and a father, with so much ahead of him. Our hearts are broken.”

In a second comment, she said that “everything possible was done in an attempt to save Jordan” and thanked everyone who comforted her parents.

A funeral service for Boris was held Tuesday morning at Sinai Chapels in Queens.

Boris on Facebook listed himself as the vice president of Regal Cleaning, LTD, a Port Washington janitorial service owned by his father Howard Boris, and was pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering from Stony Brook University.

He also posted numerous photos of a little girl who was apparently his daughter.
