The school board honored its teams from all five district high schools who won championships in the past year, as well as dozens of individual athletes’ achievements and recognitions.

The board specifically recognized six graduating seniors who will be going on to play college-level sports, including Floral Park Memorial basketball captain Kaela Hilaire, who will attend Seton Hall University on a full athletic scholarship.

“I am so proud to honor all the athletic coaches as well as the individual accomplishments of over 70 student athletic teams,” district Athletic Director Matt McLees said. “This has been an outstanding year.”
