THE VIC VINCENT GROUP The Doo-Wop, Rock & Roll & Pop Show. will perform on Sunday, Dec 4 at 3:00 p.m. This band features vocals with guitar and keyboard by Vic Vincent, tenor sax, trumpet, guitar, keyboard and vocals by Jimmy the K, and drums and background vocals by Bill Chimento. This popular program is a tribute performance to the great Rock & Roll and Pop music artists and Doo-Wop groups of their time.

THE HISTORY & ART OF CHOCOLATE TASTING with Roxanne Browning from Exotic Chocolate Tasting. will take place on Monday Dec 5 at 7:30 p.m. Join chocolate sommelier Roxanne Browning for a guided tasting as she shares artisan organic dark chocolates from around the world. Learn about the many nuances of choco- late, what to look for or avoid on a label, the health benefits, and the history of chocolate. Discover how cocoa farming helps the rain forests and its indigenous people.

 

Graphically Speaking. We now have a separate YA Collection called “Graphic Novels” which is shelved just before YA fiction. This starter collection includes popular series, manga, retold classics, comics, superheroes and personal accounts. We also subscribe to Anime Insider, a Japanese animation magazine which covers manga, TV and DVD anime, and Japanese culture. We welcome your suggestions for this collection which can be made by dropping a note in the suggestion box addressed to the YA librarian.

 

STORIES & ART. A storycraft program designed for special needs children and their families. After sharing literature, the children participate in art activities to enhance the experience. Registrations may be done by phone for this program. will take place Wednesday, December 7 at 4:30 p.m. Registration begins Wednesday, November 23.
