St. Aidan hoop team finishes season 9-2

The Island Now

The St. Aidan Middle School girls’ basketball team capped off a regular season with a record of 9-2.

The girls honed their skills and developed team chemistry by practicing four days a week from November through February.

Their dedication earned them a playoff spot where they lost in the semifinals to St. Agnes Cathedral, the eventual champion.

The team’s success is notable since the roster consists of nine seventh-graders and only one eighth-grader.
