The Island Now

The heavy rain on Saturday, June 7 did not dampen the spirits of the friends, family and school faculty who gathered to celebrate graduation day at Saint Aidan School.

The eighth graders took part in a three-part celebration beginning with 9 a.m. mass for the school and parish, followed by a communion breakfast hosted by the sixth and seventh grade parents.

The day concluded in the evening with a graduation ceremony in the church highlighted by a key note speech by Fr. Thomas Tassone.

In all, St. Aidan class of 2013 received over 50 awards and Catholic high school scholarships totaling more than $400,000, for their academic achievement, community and school service, and personal accomplishments.
