The Church of St. Mary 3rd Grade Miller basketball team won the St. Francis de Sales, Rockaway Beach, ‘30th’ Annual Christmas Tournament.
The 10-day tournament pits the top teams from Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island against one another.
St. Mary’s won all five of their games in a field of 12 teams.
St. Mary’s faced a determined Gate of Heaven, Ozone Park, team in the championship round and roughed out a 26-21 victory.
The Church of St. Mary 3rd Grade Miller basketball team are: Kyle Melkonian, Timmy Murphy, Daniel Kolin, Parker Madden, Kevin Magee, Owen Magee, Matt Infranco, Ronan Miller, Luke Egan, Padge O’Connor and Brian Reilly.
Congratulations to all of the boys that played in the tournament this year and to Coaches John (Jumbo) Miller and Chris O’Connor and his squad for winning their division championship.
