Nassau County Crime Stoppers are seeking a suspect who allegedly stole various items from a basketball court at a fitness center in North New Hyde Park last September.

Police said the suspect took a Samsung Galaxy S4 cell phone, credit cards and other personal items valued at about $680 from L.A. Fitness at 1111 Marcus Avenue. A victim noticed his belongings were missing from beside the court after he finished playing basketball.

The suspect, who was seen wearing a gray sweatshirt with the words “Nike 1972” written across the front, was observed on surveillance video making unauthorized purchases with the victim’s credit cards at several locations.

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone with information to call their toll-free hotline at 1-800-244-8477.

Calls will remain anonymous and a reward of up to $5,000 is being issued, according to Crime Stoppers.
