From Friday May 2 through Sunday May 4 join thousands of art, music, entertainment and of course tattoo aficionados at the Nassau Coliseum as the world-renowned dynamic husband and wife duo Tattoo Lou and Jackie Rubino proudly present the United Ink Summer Vibe Tattoo, Art and Music Festival 2014.
Completely open to the public and to all ages, and with a wide variety of things to do for all, it’s the perfect day for the whole family with music, entertainment, games, contests, tattooing demonstrations, an artist lounge, art exhibits and more.
Tattoo artists including Alessandro Bonacorsi, who holds seven Guinness Book of World Records relating to tattooing, 38- time award winner Zhang Po from China and Japanese Tebori tattoo artist in action, coming in direct from Japan just for this event.
Additionally, Sara Blades’ Artist Hanger exhibit includes works from both local and international artists; such as Francisco Poblet, the 82 year old world renowned painter from Sicily who spent time under the tutelage of Salvador Dali and several other famous artists in his lifetime, who will be in attendance for the festival.
There’s plenty for the kids to do, too; United Ink will offer face painting, airbrush tattoos, coloring, a flash art contest and more. Adminssion for children ages two through 12 is half price.
You can also come listen to some of the best live local bands, shop the jewelry, clothing and craft booths, watch an unbelievable body suspension team, feast your eyes on a real freak show or a burlesque show, watch the United Ink Angel Pageant or the Ms. Vixen Pin-Up Contest and much, much more.
Reality show celebrities scheduled to attend are Big Gus from Tattoo Nightmares, Joey Tattoo from Tattoo Rescue, Amy Nicoletto from LA Ink, Ali Baker from Best Ink, many of the current and former Inkmasters such as Kyle Dunbar, James Vaughn, Sarah Miller, Halo, Long Island resident Jay Blondel and more.
