Thank you to the Village of Williston Park. Your response to the storms was incredible. Throughout both storms the workers from the village were terrific. They cut trees, cleaned debris, then plowed the roads, and started all over again. We are very grateful for all your time and effort.
Thank you, too, to the LIPA workers. The task they faced was unprecedented and they did an excellent job with the resources they had available.
And a special thank you to the thousands of linemen from around the country and Canada. It takes a special person to leave their families and home to help others under very difficult circumstances. We met Indiana linemen in the village who were extremely pleasant and anxious to help–and they certainly did help.
We in the village were very lucky. Many of us lost power for a time and had some damage. But all we have to do is take a look at the news to know we have a lot to be grateful for.
