1) L’Attesa” at Furman Film Series 

Wednesday, April 13, 8:30 p.m.

Director Piero Messina navigates a range of emotions in telling the strange, irresistible story of the relationship between two women from different generations, starring Academy Award-winner Juliette Binoche as Anna and Lou de Laâge as Jeanne. Stunningly shot using Sicily as a backdrop and deeply resonant, L’Attesa heralds the arrival of a talented new voice. Presented by The Gold Coast Arts Center.

2) Graham Parker with Brinsley Schwarz

Saturday, April 9, 8 p.m.

Graham Parker has worked with guitarist Brinsley Schwarz since 1975 when they first met and rehearsed together in a band that became known as Graham Parker and the Rumour. Since then, Schwarz has often accompanied Parker on post-Rumour records and tours. Expect songs from early albums with the Rumour, his solo career and the present day, with tunes from the two latest Rumour reunion albums, “Three Chords Good” and “Mystery Glue.”

3) Patti Dunham & Gary Haberman

Tuesday, April 12, 2 p.m.

The fourth season of Stephen C. Widom Cultural Arts at Emanuel continues when Patti Dunham and Gary Haberman offer “Songs From The Heart.” Dunham is a versatile singer who has performed nationwide for 25 years and is a member of The New York Choral Artists. Haberman is a pianist, composer, arranger, orchestrator and producer. He has performed with Frank Sinatra, Liza Minelli, Vic Damone, Diahann Caroll and Sammy Davis Jr. Admission is free.

4) Axiom Brass

Praised for their “high level of musicality and technical ability” and for their “clean, clear and precise sound,” the award-winning Axiom Brass has quickly established itself as “one of the major art music groups in brass chamber music” and is the only Brass in 27 years to win the prestigious Chamber Music Yellow Springs Competition (2012), and the only American ensemble to ever win the Preis der Europa-Stadt Passau in Germany (2012).

5) Esperanza Spalding presents: Emily’s D+Evolution

Sunday, April 10, 7 p.m. 

GRAMMY award-winning singer-composer-bassist Esperanza (Emily) Spalding offers her newest project, Emily’s D+Evolution. Rekindling her childhood interest in theater, poetry and movement, this new project delves into a broader concept of performance. Conceived the day before her birthday, during a “sleepless night of full moon inspiration,” Emily’s D+Evolution will be performing all new material that Esperanza says “unfolds as live musical vignettes.”

6) Belinda Carlisle

Tuesday, April 12, 8 p.m.

Belinda Carlisle pursued a solo career after leaving the Go-Go’s in 1984. Her first solo album, 1986’s “Belinda” featured the number three hit single “Mad About You,” the record went gold and established her as a viable hitmaker. The following year, Carlisle released Heaven on Earth, her greatest solo success, featuring the No. 1 title track, the No. 2 single “I Get Weak,” and the Top 10 ballad “Circle in the Sand.”

7) The Sinatra Century

Internationally-acclaimed performers Billy Stritch and Jim Caruso, with the Diva Jazz Orchestra, will celebrate the centennial of Frank Sinatra’s legacy. The afternoon will feature world-class musicianship and brilliant comedic timing.
