Described as a high energy comic, Chris Distefano has worked at all of the top comedy clubs across New York City including but not limited to Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Caroline’s on Broadway, and the Laugh Lounge. He still lives in Brooklyn, has a Bachelors degree in Psychology to impress his mom’s friends, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy to impress his Moms friend’s Moms. Distefano is a frequent guest on he Opie with Jim Norton radio show on SiriusXM.

In recent decades, street art has made the leap out of streets and off of subway cars into the upscale art world of museums and galleries. Increasingly, street art has gained credibility as the next major art movement. Artists in the exhibition are an example  of those who have successfully made that transition into the mainstream. Begala, a commentator for CNN, is a former adviser to Bill Cinton and for the 2012 pro-Obama Super PAC, and Schmidt, who served as a top strategist to President George W. Bush’s 2004 re-election campaign and senior advisor to John McCain’s presidential bid, meet for a program entitled: From the Left, From the Right — A Dialogue with Paul Begala and Steve Schmidt. Following the dialogue, there will be a Q&A and refreshments.

          Dark Star Orchestra

Performing to critical acclaim worldwide for nearly 15 years and more than 2,000 shows, Dark Star Orchestra continues the Grateful Dead concert experience. Their shows are built off the Dead’s extensive catalog and the talent of these seven fine musicians. On any given night the band will perform a show based on a set list from the Grateful Dead’s 30 years of extensive touring or use their catalog to program a unique set list for the show.

          Itzhak Perlman

Undeniably the reigning virtuoso of the violin, Itzhak Perlman enjoys superstar status rarely afforded a classical musician. Saturday he performs a the Endowment Concert 2016 with Rohan De Silva accompanying on piano. The program includes:  Leclair: Sonata for Violin and Piano in D Major, Op. 9, No. 3; Brahms: Sonatensatz in C minor, Op. posth. “FAE Sonata”; Beethoven: Sonata for Violin and Piano in F Major, No. 5, Op. 24 “Spring”; Ravel: Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 2 in G Major.
