On her Southern Comfort tour, prodigiously gifted violinist Regina Carter pays homage to her grandfather’s roots as a coal miner in Alabama and celebrates the joyous folk music that infused her early childhood. Ms. Lauryn Hill’s prolific rhymes catapulted her into the public eye as a member of the Fugees, who, along with Wycleff Jean,. recorded two iconic albums “Blunted on Reality” and “The Score.” She made her stamp as a solo artist with her debut The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998 and most recently contributed six songs to last year’s tribute to Nina Simone “What Happened, Miss Simone?”

Written by David Auburn, directed by Brian Rose and featuring the students of the Adelphi Department of Theatre, this Pulitzer, Drama Desk and Tony award-winning play is a work that explores the unknowability of love as much as it does the mysteries of science. Centered on a troubled young woman coping with the death of her genius father, the arrival of her estranged sister, Claire; and the attentions of Hal, a former student of her father’s.
