On a beautiful soccer morning, the NHP TOPSoccer Program was in full swing.
The juniors battled to a 2-2 tie. Chris Cooney and Sammy Duggan both scored two goals for their teams.
Vincent Schifino was an excellent defender and play maker. Good midfield play by Joshua Hom and Soph Gianakis. Luke Schwartz was outstanding in his initial game with the team. Alex Laroia and Mary Glass had super all-around games.
The seniors fought tooth-and-nail. Billy Russo turned into a scoring machine with a pair of goals for the red team.
Stefani Egre was able to bang home one shot for the green team but it was not enough as they fell short by one goal.
Lending a hand with the attack was Malik Wilder.
Both defenses were top-notched as the play seesawed back and forth all game.
Stars on defense were Debbie Chin and David Glass. Shining at midfield were Sebastian Gonzalez, Frank LaPinta, Matt Saraiva and Harrison Stein.
