Town to host oldies concert on Aug. 11

A free concert doubleheader featuring The Classics, and Kamy R will be taking place on Sunday, Aug. 11 at North Hempstead Beach Park

First up will be The Classics with Emil Stucchio, who will be playing at 1:00 p.m. The Classics, an American vocal group from Brooklyn, formed in 1958 and have performed in Atlantic City, Las Vegas and many corporate venues. 

They have played with several popular artists around the country such as Dick Clark, the Fifth Dimension, Jerry Vale and Bobby Rydell among others.

This famous oldies group will sing their hits, “Till Then,” “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me,” “For Your Love,” and many more.

At 8:00 p.m., Persian musician Kamy R will showcase his talent at a free concert. With his unique style of Persian R&B and Soul, coupled with his ability to sing in over seven languages, Kamy R quickly became a music sensation.

North Hempstead Beach Park is located at 175 West Shore Road in Port Washington, Call 311 for rain date information.
