More than 10,000 people are expected to attend this year’s 26th Annual HarborFest celebration for a day of art, music, crafts and even a talent show.

The event is presented by the Chamber of Commerce from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 5 at the Town Dock, Baxter Pond and Lower Main Street in Port Washington.

“The view is wonderful, it’s right by the waterfront,” Port Washington Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bobbie Polay said. “It brings people to Port Washington and brings the people that live in Port Washington here to the waterfront.”

HarborFest will entertain visitors with activities such as trolley rides, kayaking, face-painting, talent shows, Art in the Park showcasing local artists, Enviro-Park hands-on exhibits about Manhasset Bay, a model boat and stagecoach rides.

“There’s a lot going on and it’s just a lot of fun,” Polay said.

The event will also include a handmade craft fair with more than 100 venders, food court with local restaurants, musical entertainment, cruises on the bay, family fun stage, environmental section, children’s fun park, model boat regatta, and a Nautical Museum Exhibit.

Admission to HarborFest is free.

There is free parking and free shuttle buses at the LIRR station and Manorhaven Park.
