Last spring, thousands of high school students auditioned at the New York State School Music Association Solo and Ensemble Festivals across New York. The following students were honored as All-State musicians and will represent the Wheatley School at the 2013 NYSSMA conference held this December in Rochester.
Wheatley senior Chloe Tso, violoncello, will perform with the symphony orchestra, Wheatley junior Jillian Gothelf, alto II, will perform with the women’s chorus and Wheatley junior Seung Min Yi, violin, will perform with the symphony orchestra.
In addition, Wheatley senior Paul Kim, a clarinetist, has been selected as a member of the 2013 National Association for Music Education All- National Honors Band. Kim will be rehearsing and performing with the ensemble from Oct. 27 to 30, in Nashville, Tenn.
