An investigation found he successfully or unsuccessfully tried to enter two houses on Scudders Lane, one on Cody Avenue in Roslyn Harbor, one on Cody Avenue in Glenwood Landing and one on Smith Street in Glen Head, police said.

Murther was admitted to an area hospital for an unrelated illness and will be arraigned as soon as it is practical, police said Tuesday.
