Hospitals included in this list were selected based on clinical accolades, quality care and contributions to the field of oncology.

In addition to earning prestigious recognition by Becker’s Hospital Review, Winthrop-University Hospital’s cancer care services were the first hematology/oncology team on Long Island to be recognized by the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) Certification Program, an affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The QOPI® Certification, which Winthrop earned in 2012, is a three-year certification for outpatient hematology/oncology practices that meet the highest standards for quality cancer care.
