Police arrested a West Hempstead woman in New Hyde Park Thursday for allegedly spending more than $29,000 that wasn’t hers.

Vanessa Sanon, 29, on Jan. 8 received a $150,000 in wire transfers from the Bank of China to her HSBC Bank account she wasn’t supposed to get, police said.

She then allegedly used the account to withdraw cash and make purchases, causing the bank to lose more than $29,000.

Sanon was arrested without incident Feb. 25 on a grand larceny charge, police said.

She was set to be arraigned Feb. 26 in First District Court in Hempstead.
