A Bronx man has been arrested for robbing a woman at knifepoint in the parking lot of a Greenvale shopping center Tuesday evening, Nassau County police said.

Police said Benis Stolis, 24, grabbed an unidentified 72-year-old woman from behind, put a knife to her throat and removed a ring from her finger before fleeing the scene on foot.

The incident took place around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of 90 Northern Boulevard, a shopping center that includes a T.J. Maxx clothing store, among other retailers.

He was arrested Wednesday at his home at 450 East 184th Street after a police investigation found his DNA at the scene, authorities said.

Stolis has been charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He was due to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
