All fourth grade students in Williston Park are invited to participate in this year’s Essay Contest to become a “Village Official For a Day”. All local schools with fourth-graders have been invited to participate. The topic for the essay this year is ”Why do you think Williston Park is a great place to visit but a better place to live?”
All essays are to be received at Village Hall, 494 Willis Ave. by Friday, Nov. 8. The winners will be notified and asked to come to the village board meeting on Saturday Nov. 23 at 10 a.m.

The Village of Williston Park will again be sponsoring a Halloween Parade through the streets of Williston Park. On Thursday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. all are invited to line up starting at the American Legion Hall on Willis Avenue.
There will also be a pumpkin carving contest. Please contact the Village Recreation Committee for more information.
