Readers Write: Challenging Rice on her abortion rights position

The Island Now

I am horrified that Nassau DA Kathleen Rice would celebrate the endorsement of NARAL and Planned Parenthood for her candidacy for Congress from the 4th District.

Both these extremist organizations are complicit in the tragic and often brutally painful deaths of some 350,000 unborn U.S. souls each year, all in the name of “women’s reproductive rights.”

By the way, what about the rights of half of those who die in this annual holocaust who are girls?

Who defends the war against their reproductive rights much less their right to life and the pursuit of happiness? These radical groups, and now presumably Ms. Rice, will accept no limit on “choosing” to terminate life including the employment of heinous partial birth abortion methods to snuff out the tiny precious lives of fully viable image bearers.

They even lobby against proposed legislation that would simply require would-be abortion seekers to view a sonogram video of their precious little ones before making a final decision to have the procedure.

Why?  Because they know that most women who view the fragile wiggling arms and feet and see the sure heart beat of the little lives they are carrying choose not to go forward with the act.

These extremist groups not only want to ensure that every abortion that could possibly take place does, but they will expect candidates they endorse to mandate even more of your and my hard earned tax dollars to pay for them.

Ms Rice, a simple question.  As DA you would be bound to prosecute a woman who bore a full term child and then abandoned it to die in the trash.

Don’t you find it tragically hypocritical to accept the endorsement of groups who find it perfectly acceptable to have that same child sucked from her mother’s uterus and destroyed just a week or a month prior to her birth?
