Having come from a different country myself, I know how hard it is to feel different, to feel the struggle of being ostracized.
And I can only imagine that our Jewish community feels similarly when faced with the recent acts of anti-Semitism in Port Washington.
I wholeheartedly condemn these terrible actions borne out of ignorance and hatred, and I would like to make it clear that any anti-Semitic behavior is not to be tolerated in our communities.
I lend my support to the schools making valiant efforts to educate these misguided individuals.
It is my fervent hope that together as a community, Port Washington can work together to rise above such bigotry.
