Readers Write: Gross has excelled in duties as town clerk

The Island Now

As the former president and a board director of the New York State Town Clerks’ Association, I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing and working closely with Leslie Gross, North Hempstead Town Clerk, for the past six years.

In her work on behalf of the association, Leslie quickly distinguished herself by energetically and intelligently contributing her insights, time and efforts in support of the associations’ varied state-wide initiatives.

Leslie’s passion, knowledge and leadership skills have been invaluable to the association and she has earned my respect and admiration as well as that of my colleagues and other professionals whom she has teamed with.

In recognition of her contributions and achievements, Leslie was appointed to a three year term as district director and was also recently named by her peers as a distinguished clerk at our spring 2013 conference.

It is my pleasure to endorse Leslie in her bid for re-election as North Hempstead’s Town Clerk. Leslie is superbly qualified, devoted to the residents of North Hempstead, and serious about her responsibilities.

Leslie is a consummate professional who exemplifies the best of the best and I encourage the town’s residents to re-elect her so she can continue her work on behalf of North Hempstead and New York state.
