Readers Write: Haber’s business skills needed to change county

The Island Now

As 20-year Roslyn residents we’ve watched our schools rise from the disgrace and ridicule of the largest school theft in national history, to the most fiscally sound district in Nassau.

Adam Haber has served at the vanguard of this change.

Adam joined the Roslyn School Board four years ago with novel fresh suggestions. His plan for refinancing debt saved the district $2 million, partnering with neighboring districts to transport students resulting in a six digit savings, and creating a credit card with NEFCU, giving 1 percent of purchases back to our schools.

Haber thinks differently than most politicians. He is the real deal.

Unlike his opponents who are politically skilled at maintaining the status quo, Adam, a successful businessman, asks first, “How can we do this more efficiently,” then, “What are our assets, and how can we leverage them?”

Adam’s money saving inclination, combined with his money making ideas, makes him the first candidate for county executive in years who can actually better our situation.

Please vote for Adam Haber in the Democratic Primary, Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Nassau County needs Adam Haber.
