Readers Write: Keller the right choice for the Port library board

The Island Now

On April 12, our community will have the opportunity to vote for the Port Washington Public Library budget and trustees.

I am giving my full support to Bill Keller, a friend and colleague with the intelligence, experience and expertise to ensure that our fabulous library will continue to be the jewel of our community.

I’m sure I don’t have to tell readers of this newspaper what an invaluable community resource we have in the Port Washington Public Library.

More than ever, our public institutions are faced with financial challenges that require difficult decision making, so it is increasingly important that the trustees of these institutions have the ability to make wise and responsible decisions with limited resources.

I know Bill to be a prudent financial manager with proven strategic planning experience.

Bill grew up in Port and has raised his family here, so he knows first-hand, from the perspectives of both a student and parent, the significant role our library plays in the lives of Port’s residents of all ages.

I am confident that he is the right person for the job of library trustee.

I hope you will join me in supporting Bill Keller for Port Washington Public Library trustee when you vote on April 12.

Thank you.
