Reader’s Write: Mangano provides leadership for county

The Island Now

I would like to report that I had the extreme pleasure to have met Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano this week at his office in Mineola.

I had written to him and he invited me in for a photo. I congratulated him for just winning the election and also to thank him for honoring the Knights of Columbus at the concert series at Eisenhower Park this past summer that I had attended.

Before the concert he honor the Knights of Columbus for their tireless efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, helping others in need.

As for myself I am a past grand knight of St. Anastasia Knights of Columbus and state vice-chairman for council activities. I also work for Northeast Plumbing in Mineola for the last 34 years.

In our meeting I found Edward Mangano very personable and concerned for its resident in Nassau County and wanting to make Nassau a great place to work and live.

It truly was a proud moment to have a met such a man as Edward Mangano. Keep up the good work and may Edward Mangano succeed. I’m sending you a picture of our meeting.
