As parents, and community members, we support Patricia Navarra for school board.
We feel her academic background as professor at Hofstra University along with her knowledge of Common Core and the future of academics in public education, will continue to keep Mineola School District as model and leader in education.
Her insight and fore thought on the middle track students is a breath of fresh air and sorely needed in our district. Her knowledge of the core subjects, standards and what it takes for students entering college and beyond will help prepare them for the future.
Mrs. Navarra can bring Middle States Accreditation back to our schools further making us a model district throughout Nassau County. Mrs. Navarra was recently awarded a grant by Hofstra University to create a presentation on the language of bullying,
She is not afraid to challenge the status quo or ask the hard questions; she has been a tireless advocate for all students and has been active in the school community for many years and we look forward to her service in future years as Trustee Navarra.
