This letter is to endorse Mrs. Patricia Navarra in her run for candidate for the board of education in the Mineola School District.
I have known Patricia Navarra for many years from different volunteer activities within the Mineola School District. She has served her community well over the years, serving as a PTA Member, on the PTA Board, District Council, Music Parents just to name a few.
I know that she exemplifies the characteristics that our school district needs right now to continue the forward momentum of the vision of our school district. She is all about unity. She formed a PEACE group when there was discord in the district regarding school consolidations.
She went out of her way at that time to welcome parents from all of the different schools when the merge occurred. I also know that she is a professor at Hofstra University, where her students love her. She is a mother of two children who are striving academically under her guidance.
Patricia Navarra is also a woman who does not want the limelight. She wants to help our school district in any way she can. She does not have any hidden motive or agenda, and she will not use the position on the board to launch her own personal gains.
If you vote for Patricia Navarra you can be assured that she will not abstain from important votes, and she will be present at every board meeting. Voting for Patricia Navarra is the right thing to do for the entire Mineola community.
