Reader’s Write: New Floral Park priest works hard for people

The Island Now

I had the extreme honor to attend the installation of Rev. Kevin McBrien for Our Lady of the Snows Parish in Floral Park on Sunday Jan. 12.

He was installed by his Excellency Rev. Raymond Chapetto, auxiliary bishop of Brooklyn in front of a packed Parish. Many traveled from many parts of Queens and Brooklyn to be there for his installation who knew him from parishes he served in faithfully.

Here is a priest I know who has a jovial personality and a tremendous love for others and who enjoys being a priest.

Our Lady of the Snows is blessed with a new priest who works tirelessly for the people. This he does on the parochial and diocesan levels as well as the community.

Father McBrien was inducted in 2010 as Priest Knight in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and is also chaplain of the New Hyde Park Knights of Columbus Council 2852.

Now in my opinion this is a most impressive priest. Our community of Floral Park and Glen Oaks Village is truly blessed to have Father Kevin in our midst.
