I woke up this morning to a country I did not recognize. It was my worst nightmare. I am living in a dictatorship! Where was the outcry when President Obama proudly proclaimed that with one stroke of his almighty pen, he could circumvent Congress and the Constitution, and do whatever he pleases?
Why did the press look the other way when Obama first started using the expanded powers of “his” IRS and EPA to intimidate and punish anyone or group who disagreed with him? Where were my liberal friends, who historically championed freedom of speech, when Barack Obama first started to diminish our first amendment rights by vilifying anyone who criticized him?
In Obama’s world, you must support his agenda, In Obama’s world, Americans, such as those in The Tea Party, are labeled radical extremists.
In Obama’s world the press will always defend him and attack his critics. That’s just the way it is in an Obama dictatorship. We have gotten accustomed to it!
Can anyone answer the following, without personally condemning me for bring them up? Pretend, at least for a few moments, that we still have freedom of speech.
1- It was recently discovered that welfare benefit cards in New York State, can legally be used at all of the following:
a. – liquor stores
b. – casinos
c. – strip clubs
d. – porn shops and
e. – adult entertainment venues!
Why do you think welfare payments are permitted to be used this way? Don’t forget: the great majority of people whose lives depend on government assistance, vote Democratic.
2 – The food stamp program was originally designed to be a temporary safety net, only used until the recipient could find a job and support himself and his family.
Now, 1 in 7 Americans are receiving food stamps. The program has doubled since Obama took office. For the first time, the majority of food-stamp recipients are working-age people instead of children and the elderly. Food stamps were always meant to be a temporary pathway out of poverty, never a permanent life style.
Are Obama’s massive entitlement programs intended to help people get off welfare or do they provide a huge voter base guaranteeing his party’s election?
3 – Democrats vetoed a bill that would make job training and drug testing, a prerequisite before any healthy adult could receive a welfare check. Should people receive welfare if they refuse to look for a job or if they are active drug addicts?
4 – There is no waiting period to receive welfare in New York City. Just arrive from anywhere else in the country and immediately you are eligible. It’s that simple!
Do you think that this rule attracts people here whose only goal is to get on welfare? I doubt whether there are many welfare clients who vote Republican.
5 – The New York State Retirement System is responsible for paying the teacher’s pensions. Guess what? They are again running out of money! But don’t worry all you retired teachers out there. Every school district in the state is billed for the additional amount needed to cover their shortfall.
Really? If I lose money in the stock market should I expect expect the Roslyn School District to cover my loses? Next year, New York State taxpayers will pay 17.53 percent of every teacher’s pension dollar! Got it?
Now, pay attention everyone who still believes that all our school taxes go to the children’s education.
New York State taxpayers will be asked for an additional $187 million dollars, needed to cover the retired teacher’s pensions! By the way, don’t blame the teachers! Or even their union! Blame your school boards and New York State, who agreed to these ridiculous contracts in the first place.
Now knowing that we are paying for the teachers pensions , do you wonder why their union always supports the Democratic Party?
6 – Statistics put out by the Congressional Budget Office is always quoted to defend Obama’s policies. So it came as quite a shock last week, when the CBO predicted that Obamacare, will be responsible for the lose of 2 million jobs by 2017 and 2.5 million jobs over the next decade. This is three times the increase than was previously predicted.
How do you feel when President Obama lied to you when he said that ObamaCare would produce jobs? Now do you see that Obama’s real motive behind Obamacare to takeover of our healthcare system and provide free or subsidized healthcare for his constituency?
7 – Every once in a while, there is a bright light of reason, which is never covered in the press.
According to Obama, it was pure heresy, when North Carolina let their 73 weeks of long term unemployment benefits expire.
However, liberals never bothered to read a 2008 study, written by no other than Alan Krueger, President Obama’s former chief economist, who concluded that most people get a job only when their benefits are running out !
And that’s exactly what happened here. Since these benefits were terminated, North Carolina added 55,000 jobs. Their jobless rate fell and their employment rate increased. They are near the nation’s top in these categories. Will Obama’s press even publicize North Carolina’s heroic move? I doubt it!
In 10 months we are scheduled to vote again.
That is, if Barack Obama still allows us to have elections.
