What was the most unsettling letter I ever received? Please choose one:
1 – a letter from Nassau County with a photo of my car going through that lousy red light? Hope it was my wife. Damn it, It was me!
2 – a second jury notice! I thought they would forget about me after the first one. They didn’t!
3 – a letter from my son, three days after he left for sleep-away camp. Just tell him that he can’t come home before Labor Day. We’ve made other plans! Sorry! Call his grandparents!
4 – anything from the IRS.
Without a doubt, it’s the IRS!
I better start therapy before I open that last one. It’s never just a “thank-you” or a “love-note,” especially after this month’s frightening revelations. Now, its not good enough just to pay your taxes on time. It’s who you hang out with, and what groups you are supporting.
For the last three years, they said we were paranoid and conspiratorial. But not now! Big brother really was watching us, especially if we were a conservative, a tea party member or pro-life. Add to that list any group opposing Obama’s Israeli policy, or even just being a dissenting newspaper reporter. Where is the ACLU now?
No matter how they try to explain it, the IRS now has your emails, your health records , all your tax returns, your personal financials and your Internet usage. Doesn’t it worry you, when our government is hiring thousands of new IRS employees just to watch over us? Remember after the next election, you could just as easily be the next one on their list.
Tim Geithner, Obama’s treasury secretary didn’t pay his own taxes but he still was nominated and confirmed! No hacking into his emails! He plays on the right team.
Tom Daschle did not pay his taxes either. But, don’t forget, he was not “pro-life” or a tea party member.
Obama’s choice for secretary of health and human services just quietly walked away. No targeted audits for him.
But, wait a minute! Didn’t the president say he never knew about this? Didn’t he assure us it was just a low-level, rogue group in Cincinnati?
Then, why did Douglas Schulman, the former IRS chief, visit the White House 157 times (did you hear that? 157 times!) during the period when all these improprieties were going on?
But wait a minute, Interesting news! The IRS is now required by law, (let’s see how long this one lasts?) to tell us how many White House appointees and other government workers, are behind in the payment of their own federal income taxes.
Really? Maybe, with all their new duties, they didn’t have time to file their own taxes like the rest of us.
Last month, the New York Post published these figures. The New York Times did not. Does that surprise you?
After the incessant discussion of all the taxes that Apple “should” pay, President Obama has repeated, over and over again, his claim that we don’t pay our “fair share.”
Therefore, it was really amazing to see the number of Obama’s own staff, department by department, who have neglected to pay their own income taxes.
A quiz for all you Obama-philes:
1 – How many of President Obama’s own White House staff do you think are currently behind on their own federal income taxes? Give up? Answer 40! Wow!
2 – How much do they actually owe? Don’t peek. Answer: $333,485 dollars!!
3 – How many government employees are also behind in their taxes?
Answer: 312,000 ! You’re kidding? And now, the big one:
4 – How much do they actually owe? Please sit down! Answer: 3.52 billion dollars!
Lets repeat that! They owe us $3.52 billion! Tim Geithner, never told us that one! Wonder why?
Of course, the overwhelming number of federal workers do pay their taxes. And, this number does include retirees. But, please Mr. President, why are you only attacking those who politically disagree with you.
This is still America. And as far as I know, the next election is only 18 months away.
I’m waiting to see what Obama’s “election Czar” will do about that? Me, paranoid? No way!
