Readers Write: Same care as Congress gets

The Island Now

In view of the new administration with a totally different agenda regarding health care, it is time for all citizens to express their views to our ‘employees’, i.e. our representatives and senators since they pass the rules that we must follow, often paying little attention to us, the citizens.

Hopefully, this new administration will get data and information from credible sources including physicians, patients and other stakeholders before passing new legislation.

Therefore, I strongly urge every one of us to write to our representatives and senators requesting one of two things pertaining to health care: 1. that Congress extends the exact medical care/hospital/drug coverage they receive to all of us [they have excellent plans with almost no exclusions] or 2. they agree to accept fully whatever programs they develop for us.

Members of Congress should remember they are responsible to us.

This is the time to express our views to our duly elected officials.

Let’s start a letter writing campaign now before it’s too late!

Thanks.
