The Island Now

From the perspective of Government By And For The People here in the USA, there are many things of great concern happening at the present time.

When it is said that we were/are all created equal, this has to mean when Our Creator originally created us as individual beings though at that time we were utterly ignorant and senseless; numb and dumb.

At certain times we were allowed to develop with a certain amount of freedom with our innate abilities.

As a result we are ‘for real’ and not merely automatons.

As is seen today we have gone various ways as individuals or groups-races.

Some of these ways are conducive to a positive development, some have strayed, there are laggards and others are degenerating.

There were those who one would think were the vanguards who went on The Crusades and bashed up The Middle East.

Perhaps now the pendulum is swinging back and we have today’s situation.

As I remember, it was said not so long ago that the highest IQs are in Southest Asia.

One would think that it would be in Northwestern Europe.

Perhaps centuries of playing stupid chivalry games up to the present time has been damaging to the mind and considering that the majority of the people were then relegated to serfdom.

Now, I believe that very few saw coming what happened during and since our last presidential election.

If the Clintons had won, I can see looking back from the future that it would be viewed as a stinky episode in our history and with all of their leaches attached.

They would have put their daughter in charge of the foundation to avoid a conflict of interest. Now that is really ‘funny.’

Just like Trump is said to be putting his two sons in charge of his interests.

No doubt, Putin sees the weak spots in Trump.

How about someone like Madeline Singas or Kirsten Gillibrand for our first ever Lady President?

Someone not denigrated in any way. Perhaps Kathleen Rice also.

I was surprised however at Kathleen Rice lending her support to the TPP.

Perhaps expertise in law does not provide the same in every field.

Perhaps the same could be said about Barack Obama. I don’t see that either of them would stoop to improper interests.

The forces against Bernie Sanders are like a Honda on the parkway with someone in a ‘big shot’ car behind who can’t bear following the Honda and will jeopardize traffic safety to get around it.

Money is not a solution for a flawed human being.

Not long ago was a depicted solution to one of the New Hyde Park LIRR grade crossings making it look glamorous: an underpass with two lanes in each direction under the tracks like it is the Northern State Parkway.

All the motorists want is just to get passed the tracks.

An underpass 30 or so feet wide with a walkway on one side could do it.

I wrote once how I could get it done without delaying the trains.

One does not have to be a genius. I would however consult with those who know how strong the supporting beams would need to be and how many piles would have to be driven on each side.

Also, in other news or the lack thereof, except for a work train being involved in derailing another train, I can’t recall hearing about a problem with a stalled train or other incident for a long time on this main line section.

Just keep the tracks in good condition and upgrade the signals.

How much more often does a train need to come thru than every four minutes or less during peak rush hour which is the case at present.

While on the subject, a full page in this paper showed how ugly the stations were considered to be and how beautiful they could be. Just more hype.

Last weekend, I passed by the Mineola Station and with this in mind I surveyed the station.

It was clean and has a nice quaint look. There is nothing wrong with it as it is.
