Readers Write: Paper buckles, public loses

Grace McQuade

As an former employee of the Post Office in Williston Park, when I retired I decided to subscribe to the Williston Times.

It was just to keep in touch with the area.

After seeing your editorial reversal about a letter that you had published it disappoints me.

Freedom of speech or what used to be seems to be to under attack by people who get offended.

Once offended come the threats of boycotting.

The “squeaky wheels” certainly do get more than enough grease.

In addition, it seems that people offended can read minds too.

I hope maybe these offended folks could publish a list of all the words or phrases that are not appropriate so we can all march in step.

Blank Slate should have not reversed there original position editorially.

Mr. Soros, the subject of the critical letter, hates the country he decided to emigrate to, the USA. And made plenty of money in it.

Show some guts.

As for your paper,  I’ll now wrap my fish in it.
