Readers Write: Readers Write sometimes Readers Rant

The Island Now

Two items in The New Times Newspapers,Friday, July 24, 2015 in the Readers Write section are in effect saying what should not be published.

Sometimes it is also Readers Rant.

Freedom Of The Press means that a publisher may not be coerced in what is published by the opinions of others.

Freedom of speech is not dissimilar. One has to be careful about what one says.

One aspect of drug cartels is simple economics: supply and demand. In the U.S. and elsewhere

In the news recently was the elaborate escape, the second, from prison by the cartel kingpin El Chapo (Shorty in English) which must have required a lot of help: A mile long ventilated tunnel coming right under Shorty’s shower stall.

Around that time Donald Trump uttered some very harsh words about some of the people of Mexico.

Shorty did not like Trump’s comments at all and has him in his sights.

It would not be farfetched to assume that Shorty has many deputies in the U.S.

Trump would do well to watch his back the rest of his life however long that will be.

One has to be careful what one says.

Publishing is printing what others say.

In the above situation, what is published enlightens us about who is lurking in our midst.

For anyone who does not like it, there is always The Daily News.
