Frankel, 388 in ‘project’ talks: Report

In wake of the recent cancellation of her daytime talk show, reality television star Bethenny Frankel may be closing in on a business venture in Roslyn Heights.

The former “Real Housewives of New York City” star is reportedly in negotiations with 388 Restaurant and Lounge on Willis Avenue about “partnering on a project,” a source identified only as “an eyewitness” told celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

Frankel’s syndicated daytime talk show “Bethenny,” of the Fox network, was reportedly canceled earlier this month after one season due to poor ratings and competition from television personalities Meredith Vieira and Katie Couric.

But in Hilton’s blog post, dated Feb. 19, his source said Frankel was “recently [at 388] last week.”

“When she realized her show was on thin ice, she started looking towards the future,” the source told Hilton.

Restaurant officials neither confirmed nor denied the report, saying by phone on Friday that they would not be able to comment on ongoing negotiations even if they were taking place.

Efforts to reach Frankel’s publicists were unavailing.

Frankel spent three seasons on “The Real Housewives of New York City” and launched the popular Skinnygirl lifestyle product line in 2009.

“Bethenny” premiered on Jan. 6, 2012 and was launched nationwide in September 2013. New episodes of the series will air until May.
