The federal shutdown has happened and many workers will not get paid but Congress will still get a check. There is something wrong with that picture.
I think members of Congress should not get paid and that includes the president, who could have done more and should be fined for bringing this great nation to this shutdown.
If they faced the reality of not being paid, they might have tried harder and would have thought twice and made sure the shutdown didn’t happen.
